Data Deletion Policy

Message the bot "delete my account" or "delete my data." ReadySet will describe what's about to happen and ask you to reply DELETE to confirm. This confirmation step exists so an accidental tap can't erase your household's plan during an actual emergency — anything else you reply cancels it.

• Your household record and address
• Everyone listed in your household, and whether they can evacuate independently
• All functional needs, transportation details, and animals on file
• Your emergency contact
• Your name, phone number, email, and Telegram account link
• All future alerts — deletion also stops ReadySet from contacting you

This takes effect the moment you confirm. There is no delay and no review queue.

If ReadySet ever generated a plan for your household, that plan is kept — but with your household's identifying details stripped out at the moment you delete, leaving an anonymized record rather than a document with your name on it. Plans are never edited or deleted after the fact, for anyone, at any time — only ever superseded by a newer version — so this is the one exception to full removal. It exists so that what a plan told a household during a real emergency can never be silently altered or erased, including by us.

Deleting your ReadySet data does not delete your Telegram account or your message history inside Telegram itself — that's controlled by you and by Telegram, not by ReadySet. If you also want to stop using Telegram entirely, that's a separate step you take in the Telegram app.

Emergency management staff can also remove a resident directly — for example, when someone has moved away or asked to be removed through another channel. It follows the identical process described above: your household and its details are deleted, and any plan already sent is kept with your identity stripped out, for the same reason.
